Arcflow 308L Welding Stainless Steel MIG Wire (ER308L) is a high-quality solid welding wire specially designed for MIG welding of austenitic stainless steels including 304, 304L, 308, and similar grades. It conforms to AWS A5.9 ER308L classification, ensuring reliable weld quality and consistent chemical composition.
The wire contains low carbon content (maximum 0.03%), which helps minimize carbide precipitation during welding and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion in the weld zone. This makes it an ideal welding consumable for applications where corrosion resistance and weld integrity are important.
ER308L MIG wire typically contains approximately 19–22% chromium and 9–11% nickel, providing excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and durability in demanding environments. The balanced alloy composition allows stable arc characteristics, smooth wire feeding, and minimal spatter during welding.
Arcflow 308L MIG wire produces clean weld beads with good fluidity and crack resistance, making it suitable for both thin and thick stainless steel sections. It is widely used in MIG (GMAW) welding processes and works efficiently with shielding gases such as Argon or Argon-Oxygen mixtures.
This welding wire is commonly used in food processing equipment, chemical processing plants, pressure vessels, pipelines, pharmaceutical equipment, and stainless steel fabrication industries, where reliable weld strength and corrosion resistance are required.
