Arcflow Stainless Steel Filler Wire SS 309L is a premium welding consumable designed for welding austenitic stainless steels and dissimilar metals such as stainless steel to carbon steel or low-alloy steel. It conforms to AWS A5.9 ER309L classification, ensuring reliable welding performance and consistent weld quality in demanding industrial environments.

The “L” in 309L indicates a low carbon content (maximum 0.03%), which helps minimize carbide precipitation during welding and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion in the heat-affected zone.

This filler wire typically contains approximately 23–25% chromium and 12–14% nickel, providing excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and strong weld integrity. The higher alloy content allows the weld metal to tolerate dilution when joining stainless steel with carbon or low-alloy steel while maintaining stainless properties.

Arcflow SS 309L filler wire offers stable arc characteristics, smooth metal flow, and minimal spatter, enabling welders to achieve uniform weld beads with excellent finish and mechanical strength.
